The Task Force on Availability and Affordability of Long-Term Care has until January 2001 to make recommendations to the Legislature on how to deal with the many problems of long-term care in Florida. The members are looking at a broad range of issues, from the trouble people have finding home care and community services to the quality and cost of nursing home care.
The group plans to meet next Sept. 18 at the Wolfe University Center Ballroom, Florida International University, 3000 N.E. 151st St., Miami, and Oct. 16 at the University of West Florida in Pensacola.
